Report: Middle School Kid Steals Bike by Force

A student is facing robbery charges.

A mother in Stone Mountain told police her son was shoved off his bicycle by another boy who then stole it and sped off. The incident occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6:25 p.m. at Summerview Drive.  

Police have identified the suspect as a 14-year-old who attends Stone Mountain Middle School and is an acquaintance of the victim, according to the incident report. He faces charges of Strong Arm Robbery.  

"The suspect proceeded to snatch the victim's bicycle from his possession and ride off in an unknown direction," the report stated. The mother witnessed the suspect leaving the scene. 

The victim, who is 11 years old, was not injured.
