A local man has been arrested after allegedly sending threatening emails to members of the Hall County School Board.

Chester Lamar Bagwell, of Stone Mountain, is in jail in Hall County with a $3,000 bond on one count of Stalking.

The sheriff's office in Gainesville said in a statement that Bagwell had sent a number of emails to school board members that were "harrassing and threatening in nature."

A Hall County investigator contacted Bagwell and advised him to stop, at which point Bagwell "immediately contacted the offices again." He was arrested Nov. 13 with the assistance of DeKalb County law enforcement at his James River Drive home.
