ReplySure wish this got as much attention in the press as any change the BOC might ever propose would. Wonder how high it has to go before it will???

ReplyMy question is where do they think all this rain is going to come from?? The clearing line is already to the Alabama/Georgia line with nothing behind it. I'm just not buying the hype.

Aiding and abetting of the tyrants I described above. That is the media's, uh should I say Propaganda Wing of the American Communist Party's, job.

ReplyThe only reason folks want to control guns (at least those outside of tyrants that have other plans) is they are sick of violence, murder, and mayhem and they want to control SOMETHING. Since they know they can't control the nature of man, it is a "feel good" response to try to control some tool evil people could possibly use, even if it means hendering or usurping the rights of a far greater number of "good" people. Tyrants know this and so they manipulate those folks to help further their agenda with full intentions of once that occurs, turning on those that helped them as equally as those that opposed them. Useful idiots is the term most often used.

R is right. Last time I checked most of the folks ready to die to allow us to sit here and even debate the subject, fell into that age group.

No one actually said that Tammy--as far as can be historically recorded, but has been hypothesized many times that they never wanted to fight a guerrilla war, which we ourselves (and the Russians) have found to be not winnable in Afghanistan, Vietnam, etc. The main objective of Japan was to cripple our forces enough that we would give up the fight and allow them to control the western Pacific, but one part you rarely see discussed is their (and Nazi Germany's) plans had that be accomplished along with the defeat of Great Britain. At some point it was discussed.

ReplyYou know, one thing I keep thinking of in these school shootings is every one was committed by a disturbed coward, who when faced with resistance, killed himself. What happens when a professional killer(s), aka terrorist(s), who are NOT afraid of resistance and will engage it as well, decides to take advantage of these "gun free" zones?? Reckon 30 round mags will be a priority then? You KNOW the day is coming. And speaking of the second amendment ever wonder why Japan never considered an invasion of the Mainland?

Don't insult me. Heck when I was a kid we routinely carried shotguns, rifles, and yes, even handguns to school in our vehicles. We even took our hunting rifles to the principal's office if we didn't want to leave them in the truck. You know what? Nobody EVER got so much as threatened with a gun and I sure as heck felt safe going to school every day. I miss common sense, decency, and respect for the Rule of Law.

Looking at some of the 10-day forecasts there's no chance of rain for the entire period. I hope that changes. Must be getting time to plant my garden. LOL
