ReplyWell, what did Dekalb County expect? With yet another Walmart opening the Kroger at Memorial and Hairston will probably be next.

ReplyI want to know more about the woman hanging from the balcony. She must be really connected if she can do something like that and the only story is about an intoxicated football player on the ground.

ReplyI started to put a similar sign on my front door, but I opted to tell the thief to his face. The sad thing is the police know full well who is breaking into houses in my neighborhood. The thieves work the system as juveniles and train their younger cousins and brothers to take over when they max out their juvenile limit or age into adults. I've been in Dekalb County Juvenile Court and heard the judge explain there was nothing he could do but let the criminal go with time served until he was caught three times or got caught as an adult.

Reply"...how else can we teach our children how to behave in restaurants and on planes if they are never exposed to those circumstances?"
The best place to teach children how to behave in public is at home or in the homes of family and friends. Start by teaching them to obey you. When you've got that down, move up to fast food or extremely kid friendly places and teach them self control and the appropriate behavior for the environment. It's called parenting and more people should try it. As for the baby on the plane that takes parenting and planning too. When flying with my infant son I planned his schedule to the flight. Delaying nap time until take off or feeding after arriving at the gate so that falling asleep was easy for him...often before takeoff.
So do I think children should be banned from certain places? Uh...yeah. Any place that wants to guarantee the majority of their customers a calm and relaxing atmosphere has the right to ban children and remove anyone else that causes a disruption.

I get what you're saying Geezer. Since you are commenting and not writing a story I can forgive your minor error. The author, on the other hand, not so much.

ReplyAny idea with Commissioner Sharon Barnes Sutton's name attached should be looked at very closely. Honesty and having the best interest of Dekalb County citizens haven't been her best demonstrated traits.

ReplyI think no one outside of the family knows the whole story and a lot of conclusions were jumped to in this article. Not everyone with a life threatening disease is a victim.
