Nneka Marie, Neighbor

A Stone Mountain native, Nneka attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a double minor in English and Spanish.  Prior to working as a journalist, she worked extensively in the non-profit sector. Through her positions with DonorsChoose.org, Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA, and the American Cancer Society, she developed skills in fund raising, development, communications, and public relations. Nneka enjoys writing profiles on people, places, and events, and is well attuned to the communities around her, as she is a very active volunteer in her own community. Currently, she works as a reporter in South metro Atlanta and is a part-time student at Kennesaw State University in pursuit of her Master of Arts in Professional Writing.
