The incident happened near Rockbridge and S. Hairston roads Sunday night.
A shooting involving DeKalb county police and a man near Rockbridge and S. Hairston roads in unincorporated Stone Mountain over the weekend remains under investigation, CBS Atlanta report. The suspect was arrested following the Sunday night incident, which for a time kept people in their homes in the area and traffic blocked. No one was hurt. According to the man's girlfriend, who spoke to CBS Atlanta, he had been upset when her mother refused to allow him to take their children from her. The report states that the suspect ran off, getting into a shoot-out with police after he disobeyed their orders.

The suspect allegedly took the bucket with about $100 from the hands of a 13-year-old who was soliciting donations with his teammates and coach near Stone Mountain Highway.
A driver at an unincorporated Stone Mountain intersection who acted as if he intended to drop a few dollars into a basketball team's donation bucket instead snatched the money and took off, according to Gwinnett county police. The 13-year-old victim, who was soliciting donations from cars at West Park Place and Rockbridge Road on April 27 with other team members and his coach, told police a small black SUV pulled up to him. "The driver/suspect acted like he was going to put $2 in the change bucket. The suspect then suddenly snatched the bucket out of [the victim's] hands and fled the scene," the report states.
