The official public welcome drew residents, political and business leaders.

Government, business and public safety leaders, residents, officials from neighboring cities and other political figures attended the grand opening of the new municipal building in the city of Stone Mountain on Friday, April 13. "This is your building," Stone Mountain Mayor Pat Wheeler said after the ribbon-cutting of the environmentally-friendly city hall, located at 875 Main Street. All city council members were in attendance for the festivities. Mayor Wheeler helped serve cake to attendees, who included Rep. Hank Johnson, DeKalb County Commissioner Sharon Barnes-Sutton, State Rep. Steve Henson, and representatives from the city of Clarkston.

Nice to see the town get a new building. For anyone whom has ever been to traffic court in Stone Mountain this is welcome progress. Sorry to see the moronic race baiter Hank Johnson in attendance though.   more ›
