Memorial Set Up for Family Members Involved in N.J. Crash
Three people were killed in the accident that happened on the New Jersey Turnpike on Dec. 27.
Updated 11:08 a.m: 11 Alive reports that the Stone Mountain residents pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on the N.J. Turnpike have been identified as Ainsworth Mallett, 51; wife Jacqueline, 49; and son Drew, 12. Daughter Nicole, 18, survived. According to WSB, the family ran the Golden Krust Caribbean restaurant location on Rockbridge Road. Mallett's wife is listed on Stephenson Middle School's website as an administrative assistant in the counseling department. Richard Gayle, who frequented the Golden Krust and is from Jamaica as Ainsworth Mallett was, remembered the franchisee as being very "hands on" in the restaurant. I do not know the family personally,but unfortunately I was present on the scene shortly after the accident took place. I pass the spot that it took place on an almost daily basis,and I always pray for the daughter when I go past it. It's a difference to hear about something as opposed to being present.
