A man made a traffic stop worse on Dec.5 in unincorporated Stone Mountain by raising his voice at police officers. After first running a check on the tag, the officer found that the owner had a suspended driver's license for controlled substance, the report states. The car was pulled over at the BP gas station on Redan Road. The owner was sitting in the front passenger seat, according to the report. The man asked, "What you pull us over for?" The officer offered to explain. The report states that the man yelled, "I want to know NOW!" "You want to see my license too?" This was also said in a loud voice. He wasn't quite finished. The victim let the two men in when the friend asked to borrow $10. The robber apparently forced the friends into the bathroom while he took $400 in cash, a laptop and cell phone. The "friend," a Lithonia man, then left, saying he wanted to get his cell phone back, but never returned. 2. DeKalb police responded to the incident Oct. 10 in unincorporated Stone Mountain.
A man told DeKalb County police that a roommate took off with his dog without his consent after an argument. The incident happened just before noon on Oct. 10 in the 1500 block of Fieldgreen Overlook in unincorporated Stone Mountain, where the complainant told police that he and the female roommate got into an argument over who was to babysit another roommate's children. After the fight, the man said the roommate took his small dog -- a Boston terrier mix with a black coat and white belly -- and left with the animal, without his permission. The man told police that she refused to return the dog. According to the police report, the woman was not available for comment. The police report said the 46-year-old woman was wearing only a red T-shirt and brown leather boots — no pants or underwear — when she was found in the unincorporated Stone Mountain area. She didn’t wake up in a good mood, cussing out officers when they tried to cover her with a blanket; there were kids walking to school in the area. She was later placed in soft leg restraints.
