Photos: Veterans Day Parade in City of Lithonia

The city had its first Veterans Day parade on Saturday, Nov. 10

The streets in the City of Lithonia were filled with music from high school marching bands, motorcycle clubs, city leaders and those who served the country on Saturday during the first annual Veterans Day parade in the municipality.

Weekend Planner: Veterans Day Parade, Stone Mountain Park Christmas, "Acting on Stress"

From the City of Lithonia's first Veterans Day parade to Stone Mountain Village's regular art stroll, take your pick of something to enjoy this weekend: When: Saturday, Nov. 10, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Where: The parade route begins at Lithonia Middle School goes on to Tribble Street, to the city cemetery, then a right on Stone Mountain Lithonia Road, left on Main Street, right on Conyers Street, left on Bruce Street, ending at Bruce Street Cemetery. Why go: It's the first-ever Veterans Day parade for the city and a great way to honor those who have served the country. Actor Chris Tucker, grandson of parade grand marshal Rev. T.A.
