The Stone Mountain Rotary Club Meeting holds a regular meeting on Tuesday at the Smoke Rise Country Club. Bethany's Walk, Run For Children Is Saturday

The event will be held at Stone Mountain Theme Park.

In honor of National Foster Care Month in May, Bethany Christian Services, the family preservation and adoption agency, invites you to participate in a walk/run event held to inspire the local community to be on the move to help children.  On the Move for Families is Bethany Atlanta’s annual walk/run fundraising event. Every year, hundreds of children enter the state foster care system as a result of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Bethany Christian Services is a global non-profit organization delivering compassionate and professional services in family preservation; helping children, women, and families for nearly 70 years. Putting LA Fitness on Panola Was 'Best Move They Made'

Members who live nearby like this new gym's location, other fitness centers that have set up shop locally in recent months, and tried-and-true trails at DeKalb parks in our communities.

  Before LA Fitness opened in Lithonia on March 19, Maggie Seals would often make mad dashes to the gym's locations on Lavista Road or in Conyers. "The classes are good, so you're trying to get to that class," she told Patch. Now that the newly-built gym is up and running on Panola and Covington, things are much more convenient and less stressful for Seals, who doesn't live far from it. "I love the location. To me, that was the best move they made," said Seals, who said she had suggested a Lithonia location to personnel at the other LA Fitness gyms. 5 Things to Know About the Easter Sunrise Service at Stone Mountain Park

Dress warmly if you're climbing up the mountain this Sunday.

  An estimated 4,000 people are expected to attend the Easter sunrise service at Stone Mountain Park this Sunday (there's one on top of the mountain, and one at the base, on Memorial Lawn). If you're going, here are five things you should know: 1. Times: service starts at 7 a.m.; the park gates open at 4 a.m.; the Skyride opens at 4 a.m. 2. Costs: $10 for a one-day vehicle permit or $35 for annual permit; round-trip Skyride fees are $9 for adults and $7 for children 3-11 and $5.50 one-way. 3. Remember it's windier and colder on top of the mountain. "Dress warmly, bring blankets," said park public relations manager Jeanine Jones. 4. Stone Mountain Park Easter Service to Include Sign Language Interpreter on Memorial Lawn

There are two services: one on top of the mountain, one at the base on the Memorial Lawn.

  New this year at the Easter Sunrise Service at Stone Mountain Park: the service taking place at the base of Stone Mountain on Memorial Lawn will include a sign language interpreter, according the park's website. Around 4,000 people attend the annual Easter Sunrise Services at Stone Mountain Park, with most of them climbing or taking the Sky Ride up Stone Mountain. Animal Babies, Thousands of Butterflies Coming to Stone Mountain Park

The popular destination will begin unveiling some of its new features March 28.

  Last year, Stone Mountain Park unveiled Geyser Towers, a big, splashy, attraction aimed at kids (and kids at heart). This year, the park is introducing the following new features: > The educational "Butterfly Adventures" launches June 1 as part of the park's "Summer at the Rock" experience.
