Crossroads Presbyterian's Pastor Ellis Dies

The viewing for Rev. Elward Ellis is scheduled for today at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rev. Elward Ellis, pastor of Crossroads Presbyterian Church on Redan Road in Stone Mountain, has died. According to an article in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Ellis died May 12 in an automobile accident. Ellis, who is from Newark, N.J., leaves behind his wife, Dr. Dawn Swaby-Ellis, his wife, and his Jonathan, the article reported. It also said Ellis InterVarsity’s first Director of Black Campus Ministries for seven years. According to that story and information in the Prebytery of Greater Atlanta, there will be a viewing for Rev. Ellis today, Wednesday, May 16, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 4347 Flat Shoals Parkway, in Decatur, with a special prayer and reflection time from 6-9 p.m. The …
