After losing big to Mitt Romney Tuesday, Newt Gingrich plans to formally leave the Republican presidental race next week, according to Fox news. It is also reported that he will "more than likely," endorse Romney when he makes the announcement. The decision comes on the heals of Romney sweeping the five primaries Tuesday, making it statistically impossible for Gingrich to prevent him for garnering the 1,144 delegates needed to secure the nomination. The talk followed an earlier Gingrich rally Saturday in Forsyth County.
