Javier “Pancho” Deveaux, 21 and Haben Kifle, 19, both of Stone Mountain, were shot and killed Friday.
Gwinnett County Police have released the identity of two local men shot and killed in unincorporated Norcross last Friday. Police said the men were Javier “Pancho” Deveaux, 21, and Haben Kifle, 19 both of Stone Mountain. Gwinnett County Police were dispatched around to Highland Walk Apartments, located at 6069 S. Norcross Tucker Road, around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, according to a press release from police spokesman Officer Jeffery Richter. When officers arrived near building 300, they noticed gunshot wounds to the two men, who died at the scene. Vandara Nao, 21, also of Stone Mountain, was near the incident scene. A suspect was arrested; police said he was holding two children and a woman hostage near the scene of the crime.
One man was killed and another man and a woman were critically injured in a shooting at the Colony of Stone Mountain apartment complex in unincorporated Stone Mountain. A man who was holding two children and a woman hostage near the crime scene has been arrested, DeKalb police said. He is charged with murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping. Police officers who were responding to a domestic disturbance call found the three victims at 2:20 Wednesday morning. The victims were taken to a hospital. The dead man is believed to be in his 20s, police said in a statement. He wasn't identified in the release.

Travis Moore, 18, was found dead with gunshot wounds at the Ashland Waterscape apartment complex off Hairston Rd. early on New Year's Day, DeKalb police said. No suspects were in custody in the early evening after police responded to a call about 4:15 a.m, said Sgt. M. J. Ferreira. "That's still a work in progress," he said. The body was found in the 2500 block of the gated complex, where Moore was a resident. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots at times ranging from shortly after midnight to about 3:30 a.m. Before that, all had been quiet in the neighborhood, they said.
