Hollywood Back At Stone Mountain Park

A film crew is working at the park, which has welcomed movie projects such as "The Three Stooges" before.

Stone Mountain Park is staying mum, but there's evidence -- and talk -- that a movie project is underway there. "We cannot confirm that," park spokeswoman Jeanine Jones told Patch. She did say a portion of the park, on Robert E. Lee Drive near the east gate, was closed off Wednesday. A person familiar with the film work at the park said it's the movie "Prisoners” and that film crews had created snow in the area that’s closed off. Indeed a layer of the white stuff was seen. There were signs in the park leading crews to the project, a white tent and some smaller trucks at the location, but not a lot of activity, lights or equipment late Wednesday afternoon. According to Internet Movie Database (IMDB), “Prisoners" will star Hugh Jackman, Jake…

Giddy Up for 'Cowboys and Aliens'

Movie review: Get ready for a great Western that is out of this world.

Double O Seven star Daniel Craig forms an unlikely alliance with Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde in the Sci-Fi/Western genre mashup "Cowboys and Aliens." Craig plays an 1870s outlaw with amnesia who wakes up with a alien bracelet and figures out he can zap space monsters with the flick of a wrist. The monsters are bad and the cowboys are good. A classic western with an intergalactic twist. Jon Favreau directs the move and, as an added bonus, Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer have their hands all over it, making this a trailblazing future classic. The CGI is great, the evil monsters are scary, but the human character and the acting is most memorable. "Cowboys and Aliens" may look like a strange combo, but it's not. The flick-0-…

Final Harry Potter Movie is Pure Magic

Harry Potter takes his final bow in a film series that has dominated the box office for nearly a decade.

Jammed with action and emotion, this is the only film in the series that is in 3D and its worth it. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" neatly wraps up the young wizard's life as he faces his destiny. Eight films and 10 years later (with most of your favorite characters coming back), this final chapter may even leave you a bit misty eyed if you are not careful. In this final installment of the blockbuster series, Harry, Ron and Hermione (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) continue their mission to destroy the rest of the seven Horcruxes that contain pieces of the soul of the evil Lord Voldemort (played by Ralph Fiennes). You don't need to be a "Potterphile" to enjoy this movie, but "Deathly Hallows: Part 2"  does …
