Meet Fat Headz Diner owner Rodney Walker, the new “kid” on the block of Main Street.
Rodney Walker opened his restaurant in the City of Stone Mountain on March 24 and he is looking forward to good things. Walker, who has a background in food services, took a leap of faith and made the transition from being a nine-to- five employee to becoming the sole proprietor of a business. He and his staff operate the full-service restaurant that is open from 6am to 3pm and serves breakfast and lunch. Fat Headz Diner is located at 961 Main Street. Patch: Why did you choose this location? Rodney Walker: The location was previously a pizzeria and when they left I felt that since it was already a restaurant for 30 years that it would be a good place to have another restaurant. A couple of suggestions: 1. Diet coke 2. Heinz ketchup in a bottle at table 3. The thin sweet potato chips are superb. The thick Ones are harder and have no crunch. Slicing consistently thin would be awesome! 4. Larger, thicker napkins with all 3 pieces of silverware 5. Sliced tomatoes without the core and stem 6. Please watch doneness of meat.
