Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian on Interstate 85 North between Pleasantdale Road and Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Around 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, a Corrections Work Detail was cleaning debris off Dawson Boulevard and Graves Road when they discovered a dead body. The body was discovered next to a concrete barrier near a small ravine and could not be seen off the interstate, according to a news release from Gwinnett County spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter. The body was identified as 24-year-old Leviticus D. Charleston, of Stone Mountain.
