News Nearby: New Hyundai Dealership on U.S. 78 Opening, Hiring New Sales Team

According to its website, O'Brien Hyundai in Lilburn will open today (Jan.18).

O'Brien Hyundai of Georgia will be opening Jan. 17 in its new location on U.S. Highway 78 in nearby Lilburn, according to the company's website. And, the dealership still is looking to hire members for its sales team. To apply for a job, click here. The new business is located at 4355 U.S. Highway 78, in the former Baranco car dealership. Jim Brooks, executive director of the Evermore Community Improvement District -- which runs 7.5 miles starting from the Gwinnett-DeKalb line and includes businesses with Stone Mountain addresses such as Hobby Lobby -- told Patch last year that Baranco was in negotiations with another new car dealership for the facility. L.A. Fitness, Burlington Coming to U.S. 78

The Evermore Community Improvement District is seeing growth.

Before long, there will be a new work out spot and another place to buy clothes and home decor along U.S. 78. L.A. Fitness and Burlington are moving into the Evermore Community Improvement District (CID). And that's not all. The grand opening of Stone Mountain Toyota's renovation is coming up in July, road improvements are continuing and other projects are on tap, said CID executive director Jim Brooks. Evermore CID Still Seeks Director

But projects are moving forward, according to the interim director.

After two years of turmoil and turnover, there are clear signs that Evermore Community Improvement District (CID) projects are moving forward. All except one, that is. The Board of Directors still has not named an executive director for the self-taxing group of business owners along U.S. Highway 78, including portions of Snellville, Lilburn and Stone Mountain.  Interim Executive Director Wayne Hill told Patch Monday that none of the ongoing projects that are on the planning board have been delayed. "Last year things got hung up quite a bit," Hill said. "But this year, it's not like that by any means. Everything is moving right along."
