Linus is a very sweet and playful boy. He gets along with other cats, and is ready for adoption!
Here's Linus! This sweet boy is about two years old and is a gorgeous dilute orange tabby. He's just about the most loving guy you would ever meet! He loves to sit in laps when visitors come by and he never tires of a good head rub. Linus also loves other cats, and would do best in a home with a feline buddy. If you are looking for a sweet, funny and playful boy, consider Linus!. He's current on his vaccinations, FIV and FeLV negative, neutered and microchipped. Learn more about Linus on the AARF website here, or stop by AARF Pet Central in Stone Mountain Village to meet him. ** Linus is available for adoption through Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends, a non-profit animal welfare organization licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.**

Meet Junebug, the pet of the week from Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends, based in Stone Mountain Village.
This is Junebug! This wonderful girl was rescued from the DeKalb County shelter. She had a pending adoption, but when her new family found out that she had heartworms, they backed out. Luckily for Junebug, she is now part of the AARF foster program and will soon be rid of the heartworms! And lucky for us, too! She is an amazing dog! Our best guess is that she is an Australian Cattle Dog / Terrier mix. She gets along great with other dogs and cats, and loves to snuggle on the couch. She is also very athletic, and would make a great agility or frisbee dog. She is 2-3 years old, and only weighs about 25 pounds, which is the perfect size for a lap! Someone was not very nice to Junebug before she joined AARF. So, it sometimes takes her a bit …

Meet Ellie, a fun-loving and adorable black labrador mix! She is available for adoption through Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends (AARF).
Ellie is a good-natured lab mix (she might have some other water or hunting dog in her too, because she doesn't mind getting wet at all) probably born late spring 2011. She loves going for walks, running after toys, and getting belly rubs. Ellie's a very active girl, and needs to get plenty of exercise - but even when she's being super energetic, she always calms down when you hold her like a baby and pet her softly! She's had some basic training, and can sit, lay down and roll over (though sometimes it takes her a minute to collect her thoughts and remember her lessons). Ellie is good in her crate all night and while her foster parents are away, though she always prefers to be out playing in the house or back yard. She gets along …
