Megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar's daughter called 9-1-1 on him and the tape has now been released.
CBS News has released the 9-1-1 call from Creflo Dollar's daughter. In the tape, Creflo Dollar's daughter says that she does not show any signs of injury but she does state that her father "choked me and punched me in the face." She admits that the confrontation stemmed from her wanting to go to a party, and her father being unhappy with her grades. Creflo Dollar is the founder of Creflo Dollar Ministries and CDM Global Missions. World Changers Church International, the megachurch where he is pastor, sits on 81 acres in College Park, Ga., and holds services in the 8,500-seat World Dome. The 50-year-old pastor is known for wearing lavish suits and preaching that God rewards the faithful with material prosperity. Now he’s known for allegedly beating his 15-year-old daughter. Fayette County Police went to the Dollar home in response to a domestic disturbance call. Updated, 12:23 p.m. Creflo Dollar Jr., whose megachurch World Changers has a satellite church in Norcross, was arrested Friday in Fayette County for allegedly assaulting his 15-year-old daughter, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He's been charged with simple battery, family violence and cruelty to children, according to the police report. Investigator Brent Rowan of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office told Norcross Patch that Dollar was booked into the county jail around 2 a.m. but was released later that same morning.
