Meeting Notes: Councilman Approved as Mayor Pro Tem for Lithonia City

The city council also approved two other agenda items Monday night.

The city council of Lithonia had its regular work session Monday, Jan. 7 and voted on the following agenda items: 1. Election of Mayor Pro Tempore. Action: councilman William Ric Dodd was approved as Mayor Pro Tem (3 in favor; 1 abstained --  the now former Mayor Pro Tem Pat Miller -- Tracy Ann Williams, opposed). 2. Resolution No. 13-01-01 to allow for appropriate levels of spending pending adoption of budget for Fiscal Year 2013. Action: Approved. 3. Approval of Intergovernmental Agreement with DeKalb County for the Allocation and Distribution of Proceeds from the Energy Excise Tax. Action: Approved.

Meeting Notes: Associate Judge for Stone Mountain City to Do the Same for Lithonia

Among its five action items, the Lithonia City Council approved the appointment of La Tisha Dear as associate judge. The council also approved a resolution to re-establish the Lithonia Downtown Development Authority.

Lithonia's city council on Monday voted on the following items during its regular meeting: 1. Approval of severance payment for Gerald Sanders, former city administrator, Action: approved. 2. Approval of resolution re-establishing the Lithonia Downtown Development Authority and appointment of directors. Action: Approved 3. Approval of resolution for city to participate in the National Incident Management System (NIMS) for emergency assistance. Action: approved. 4. Appointment of attorney La Tisha Dear as associate judge for Lithonia Municipal Court. 5.
