Report: Local Man Killed in Rockdale Car Crash
The Rockdale Citizen reports that the single vehicle accident happened on Christmas Eve on Old Covington Highway.
According to the Rockdale Citizen, a man from Stone Mountain, Virgil Thomas, man was killed on Christmas Eve in a single-vehicle crash after leaving a family get-together. The accident happened on Old Covington Highway in Rockdale County. Thomas, 47, hit at least three mailboxes after leaving the road and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the Rockdale Citizen reports.

Teen Dies, Father Arrested in Stone Mountain Crash
One child declared dead, another in critical condition.
Four children and one adult were involved in a crash near the main entrance of Stone Mountain Park. The driver of a Chrysler Pacifica was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 78 west and lost control of the car. He crashed into the wood line, according to DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parish, who said Anthony Johnson was driving near the Hugh Howell Road exit when he ran off the road. A 15-year-old female, 11-year-old female, 8-year-old male, and 9-year-old male were inside the car at the time of the crash. After the accident Johson walked to the Metro Cafe with his two sons for help.
