Did you miss some news last week on Stone Mountain-Redan Patch? Here's a review of recent headlines: May 6 - Sunday Alcohol Sales Become Reality DeKalb County began allowing Sunday sales of alcohol last Sunday, and for some folks, this ended years of trying to beat the clock late Saturday evening to get their beverages of choice home from the package or grocery store. Lights, Camera...Stone Mountain Village!

11 Alive did its morning show in the Village from 4:30-7 a.m. today.

About a dozen businesses put their services or wares on display in Stone Mountain Village in the wee hours today (Friday) to watch and be part of the 11 Alive broadcast of its morning show at the gazebo in the center of town.  Some donned T-shirts that said, "Stone Mountain Village...Your Arts and Culture Destination,"  which was part of an effort to get as much promotion for the Village, its businesses and creative outlets as possible while in Channel 11's morning show spotlight, from 4:30-7 a.m. Businesses and organizations such as Sweet Potato Cafe and the Artisan, The Miracle of Massage, the DeKalb County Library, the Visitor Center and more set up near the broadcast site to get some free publicity.
