Art Stroll in Stone Mountain Village Saturday

ART Station presents a stroll through its galleries this Saturday, Nov. 23 at the main location on Manor Drive and the four Arts Incubator Galleries on Main Street and Mountain Street.  
 
The event, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., is free and open to the public, but obtaining a passport is recommended.

Passports are free of charge and may be picked up at ART Station, Center Town Galleries at 951A & 951B Main Street, North Town Gallery at 977 Main Street or East Town Gallery at 5347 E. Mountain Street prior to the night of the event. Passports are not required for admission but do give patrons privileges on the Art Stroll. 

If a patron visits all five galleries and gets their ticket punched at each gallery, they are entered into a drawing for Gift Certificates redeemable in all of the Galleries. Certificates are for $100, $50 & $25. In order to be eligible for the drawing, passports must be turned in to the ART Station upstairs gallery no later than 9:15 p.m. on the evening of the event. Patrons do not have to be present to win.  

The upstairs gallery showcases the Holiday Members' Exhibit, juried by Sylvia Cross, owner of Sycamore Place Gallery in Decatur. Member artists of ART Station are eligible to submit work to three to four exhibits annually, providing them an opportunity to have their work seen, and perhaps sold. Almost 40 artists contributed to this exhibit, which includes painting, photography, collage, and glass works.

The downstairs gallery will feature works from the University of Georgia Alumni Association. Both of the above-mentioned exhibits will run through Jan. 11, 2014. 

Music, light food and drink is provided for the Art Stroll, provided by the Stone Mountain Woman's Club. ART Station's regular gallery hours are: Tuesdays - Saturdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
