Have you ever thought about becoming a foster parent? There are many children of all ages who are in the temporary custody of the state of Georgia and are in need of loving foster homes. Come to Community Connections' next orientation to learn more about whether you want to take the next step towards welcoming children in foster care into your home. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 6:30 p.m. 2300 West Park Place Blvd. Suite 114, Stone Mountain.

There will be a Job Fair in Tucker at CMU’s campus - in association with the Georgia Department of Labor - on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The event will be held at 1957 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 512.

In nearby Lilburn, there will be a Disaster Relief Preparedness Summit for Leaders of Faith-Based Communities at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1150 Cole Road. Thursday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m.

They're calling it a Wealth, Health, & Fun event which "will focus on making money, saving money, business, self care, fun and relaxation." Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. 5355 Stone Mountain Highway.
