Week Ahead: City Council, Historic Preservation, and More

What's going on in Stone Mountain and Lithonia.

What's up locally in the week ahead:

The DeKalb Board of Education will hold a Community Input Session for public comment on Monday, Jan. 6, at 5:45 p.m., 1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard, Stone Mountain. 

The Stone Mountain City Council is holding its first regular meeting of 2014 at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at  City Hall, 922 Main Street. It's open to the public. 

State Representative Karla Drenner and DeKalb County Commissioner Kathie Gannon will host an Affordable Care Act Enrollment Event on Tuesday, Jan 7, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Robert Shaw Elementary School, 385 Glendale Road, Scottdale. 

Parents are invited to private Pre-K and Kindergarten Pre-Registration tours at Primrose School of Five Forks, beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Stone Mountain's Historic Preservation Commission will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at City Hall, 922 Main Street. 

Snow Mountain continues at Stone Mountain Park until Feb. 17
