Monday Essentials: Movie Screening, Stars and Strikes

A quick look at some upcoming events this week.

The Stonecrest Library Auditorium is hosting a screening of the film 'Breaking Their Silence' at 4 p.m. Monday, June 24. "Based on true events of sexual assault and molestation." 3123 Klondike Road in Lithonia.

The half-price arcade returns on Tuesday, June 25 at Stars & Strikes. 1741 Mountain Industrial Boulevard, Stone Mountain. More details here.  

There's a Bluegrass Jam in Stone Mountain Village every Wednesday night during the summer. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Gazebo on Main Street and goes on until dark. It's free - just bring a chair or blanket, and if you're a musician, you can join in.  

The second annual community yard sale is on Saturday, June 29, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. "Meet incredible business, civic and organizational leaders working hard daily to make Tucker, Lilburn and Stone Mountain great places to call home." Tables: $20 public charity donation. 5915 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker.

The Stone Mountain Thrift Store Celebration is also on Saturday, June 29, starting at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 4871 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain.
