Countdown to the 44th Annual Yellow Daisy Festival

The popular event at Stone Mountain Park runs September 6-9.

The 44th annual Yellow Daisy Festival blooms September 6-9 at .

The popular festival features more than 400 arts and crafters from 38 states and two countries, and attracts some 200,000 people over the four-day period, according to Stone Mountain Park.

Three crafters at the festival live right in Stone Mountain:

  • Brenda Elliott (stained glass)
  • Darlene Jeffares (children’s clothing)
  • Jean McCormick (personalized lap desks). Stone Mountain Park spokeswoman Jeanine Jones said McCormick has taken part in the Yellow Daisy Festival for more than 15 years.

New to this year's event: two featured artists instead of one - Rosa McMurtray and Mamie Herron.

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Shawn Mullins will perform Friday, September 7 from 4:30-6 p.m.

Here are the hours for the Yellow Daisy Festival:

Thursday, September 6: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Friday, September 7: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Saturday, September 8: 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Sunday, September 9: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
