Stephenson Middle School 's Charter Initiative

On January 24, 2013 a Letter of Intent to convert Stephenson Middle School into a DeKalb County District charter school was filed with the DeKalb County School District and the Georgia Department of Education.  The letter was accepted, and Stephenson Middle was provided with a Charter School Checklist with the necessary requirements for State Charter Petition. ​It is the goal of the Charter School Steering Committee to inform, engage, and facilitate on behalf of successful completion of this initiative.

The Stephenson Community Council will host one of many Parent Information sessions on Thursday, April 6, 2013 at 6:30 PM.  The meeting will be held at the Wynbrooke Clubhouse located in the Wynbrooke subdivision.
