Lithonia Footballer Will Play Two Big Events

Jonathan Jones is featured in upcoming All-Star games in Georgia and Florida.

Jonathan Jones, 17, a wide receiver for Arabia Mountain High School, Lithonia, has been invited to participate in the eighth annual Offense-Defense Bowl Week festivities next month in Orlando, Fl.

Jones will participate in the showcase, part of a week-long series of events including the televised, 8th-annual Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. 

The Decatur resident will also play in the 2013 D.L. Scott Coalition Bowl Senior All-Star Game to be held on this Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m., at the Georgia Dome, according to a press release.

Jones completed the 2013 season with 798 receiving yards, 9 touchdowns and an average of 16.3 yards per gain. He currently is the number two player in DeKalb county for receiving yards and has been listed on MaxPreps Georgia High School Leaderboard for most of the 2013 season. He was a key player assisting the Arabia Mountain Rams in achieving their 7-3 season historical record.
