Are you ready for another round of picks?

at Newton: The Jaguars of Stephenson (5-0, 2-0 Region 2-AAAAA) still have yet to be challenged this season. It won’t happen this week against a Newton team (3-2, 0-2) that hopes to keep its playoff hopes in sight. Don’t expect a Stephenson letdown. Last week’s first-half struggles against Luella — the Jags led only 7-0 at half, then won 35-14 — was letdown enough. Stephenson 33, Newton 17.

Chamblee at (Thursday): Redan (2-3) has won two in a row, including a 28-21 win over a pretty decent Miller Grove team two weeks ago. A win over Chamblee would put the Raiders in playoff contention. Chamblee (2-3) has scored only nine points during a three-game losing streak. Redan can win this one. Redan 23, Chamblee 20.

at Towers: Stone Mountain (4-2) has gone 1-2 since starting the season 3-0. Towers (1-5) comes at a good time for the Pirates, who need to find that early season groove to make a run for the playoffs in Region 5-AAA. Stone Mountain 28, Towers 17.
