Hawks Players 'Adopt' Family of Deceased Lithonia Star

Basketball player Terrell Coleman was 15 when he died in October after a game.

Terrell Coleman, a 6-foot-5 freshman from Lithonia's Miller Grove High School and one of the state’s top prospects for 2017, died suddenly after playing in a pick-up game on Oct 27 due to a heart condition, as reported on Patch

Atlanta Hawks Elton Brand, DeMarre Carroll, Kyle Korver, and Co-Managing Partner Bruce Levenson "adopted" the Coleman family for the holidays during an event that took place Dec. 16 after a Hawks game in Atlanta. 

Coleman was ranked as a 4-star and as the nation’s No. 13 overall basketball prospect for 2017 by Future150.com. He is survived by his mother, father and older brother.
