Former Falcon at Wade Walker Park Thursday

Former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Brian Finneran will attend the Central Dekalb Jaguars Youth Football practice.

Former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Brian Finneran will be at Wade Walker Park Thursday, Oct. 26 between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. for the Central Dekalb Jaguars Youth Football practice where he will talk about the importance of safer tackling techniques that take the head out of the line of contact.

Finneran, who is a host on the Atlanta sports talk show The Front Line, is participating in USA Football’s NFL Ambassador Program, in which former NFL players work alongside youth leagues across the nation as mentors, lending support to USA Football’s Heads Up Football program and reinforcing a culture of safety in youth football.

Nearly 2,800 youth football leagues representing approximately 600,000 players and 90,000 coaches across the U.S. have registered for Heads Up Football this season in a commitment to their children’s health and safety. The program is also being piloted on the high school level this fall in 35 schools spanning 10 states.
