The Arabia Mountain Rams evened their 2013 high school football record at 2-2 overall with a big 26-20 three overtime victory against Miller Grove on Saturday night at Panthersville Stadium.

Miller Grove went into the half with a 14-0 lead, but the Rams adjusted and came out to score and trim the lead to 14-6 in the third quarter. Gregory Phillips hauled in a 45-yard touchdown pass and the Rams went for two to tie the game at 14-14 in forcing the game into overtime.

Neither team scored in the first overtime as Arabia Mountain had the second of three interceptions in the game to send the two teams into the second overtime. The second overtime ended with both teams putting a touchdown on the board and missing extra points to remain tied at 20-20.

The two teams failed to mount much of a threat the rest of the third quarter and into the fourth when the Bulldogs using a 42-yard pass play from Burton to Minor to the Grady five trailing 19-14. The Knights held firm by stopping Burton just inches shy of the goal line on a fourth and goal from the one.
