Jordan Landry made the most of his two carries against Marist with a pair of long touchdown runs to lead the No. 1 ranked Tucker Tigers to a ranked War Eagles at Adams Stadium on Friday night.

Landry put the Tigers up 8-0 early with a 35-yard run for a score and
Juwann Williams added the two-point conversion.

Marist’s Austin Hardin connected on a 32-yard field goal to cut the lead to 8-3 before Landry struck again, this time for 77 yards, to give the Tigers a 15-3 lead.

Marist scored just before half on a 15-yard run by Greg King and a
two-point conversion to cut the lead to 15-11. Neither team managed to score in a hard fought second half, but the Tigers (2-0) managed to run out the last nine minutes of the game to seal the victory.

Miller Grove 12, Dunwoody 7 Miller Grove (2-0) remained undefeated as the Wolverines rallied from a 7-0 deficit to defeat the Dunwoody Wildcats (0-2) 12-7 at North DeKalb Stadium on Friday.

Joseph Farrar gave the Wildcats a 7-0 lead in a turnover marred first half as he scored on a one-yard run following a Miller Grove fumble. Chris Stuart cut the lead to 7-6 just before the half ended and Devante Parks set up the go ahead score with a 70 yard punt return.

Stephenson 41, Cedar Grove 12

The now Class AAAAA No. 5 ranked Stephenson Jaguars (2-0) scored two quick touchdowns and never looked back in defeating Class AAA No. 9 ranked Cedar Grove 41-12 at Hallford Stadium on Friday night.

The Jaguars scored twice in a span of 25 seconds to open the game with a quick 14-0 lead. Cedar Grove managed to drive for a touchdown late in the first quarter, but could not contain the Jaguars.

Demarcus Sweat, who had a 76-yard punt return in the season opening win over Parkview, had a pair of touchdowns in the game, including another 70-yard score which came via the pass. Raphael Kirby added a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown.
