Comcast Hosts Local Job Fair for Military Veterans

The cable provider commits to hiring 1,000 veterans by 2015. A Stone Mountain job fair will teach resume development and help veterans apply for current jobs.

From a news release:

Comcast cable and internet provider is hosting an in-house job fair for military veterans on Wednesday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Stone Mountain office, 1707 Lewis Way.

At the event, Comcast will provide information to veterans about career opportunities, teach resume development and help direct applicants to positions that are available.

“Comcast has a rich tradition of employing and promoting veterans in its workforce,” said Angela Albert, vice president of human resources for Comcast in Atlanta. “In fact, many of our company’s top leaders are veterans, a population that clearly aligns well with our culture of strong leadership and teamwork.”
