Standout Scholars: Stone Mountain Natives Excel From Clearwater to Missouri

Georgia Tech, Clemson among the schools with local students earning degrees, honors.

Several Stone Mountain natives recently received degrees and honors from colleges and universities, listed alphabetically:

Clearwater Christian College

  • Jessica R. Pisani received a President's Recognition for scholastic achievement during the 2011 fall semester. In order to be recognized for this award, honorees must have been enrolled full-time and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.90 on a 4.00 scale.
  • Joanna L. Pisani received the Dean's List Award for scholastic achievement during the 2011 fall semester. In order to be recognized for this award, honorees are required to earn a GPA between 3.50 and 3.90 on a 4.00 scale.

Clemson University

  • Christopher Kenneth Epps graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in PRTM (Community Recreation, Sport and Camp Management) on Dec. 22.

Georgia Institute of Technology

The following students made the Dean's List for fall semester 2011.

Georgia Southwestern State University

  • Toni McKenley made the Fall 2011 President's List and was among 550 students recognized for scholastic achievement. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must earn a semester GPA of 4.0 and take a minimum of 15 credit hours.
  • Ralph Wulah of Stone Mountain graduated from during the Fall 2011 commencement ceremony held on Dec. 10 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. He was one of 373 graduates.

Missouri Valley College

  • Devon Wade was named to the Fall 2011 Dean's List. The requirements for the Dean's List are a 3.3 or higher grade point average; at least 12 graded hours for the semester; and no "D," "F," or "Incomplete" grades for the semester.
