Redan Blue Thunder Eyes Battle of The Bands in Florida
Band members performed at S. Hairston Road Kroger to raise funds for the November trip
The Redan High School Blue Thunder raised nearly $1,200 and brought some music and fun to the Kroger at 1232 S. Hairston Rd. in Stone Mountain on Saturday. The award-winning band was collecting donations to travel to the Florida Classic Battle of the Bands in November.
All told, the band needs close to $40,000 to make the trip successful, said the band's booster club public relations coordinator, Kimberly Jacobs.
