Lithonia Coach Fired Over Harlem Shake Video Tweets: 'I Think I Will Be OK'

Barry Browner has voiced his thoughts on Twitter about being disciplined after appearing in a video doing the popular dance craze with students.

A Lithonia High School teacher and coach who reportedly lost his job over participating in a Harlem Shake video has been airing his thoughts about the situation on Twitter, where he's also getting support.

Browner tweeted on April 26:

Crazy 24 hours.......just glad I got real friends and family. ...:-):-):-)

WSB, citing a DeKalb county school system spokesperson, reported that Browner, was disciplined for taking part in the video, posted on Youtube (and attached to this article). The news outlet also stated that Browner had been the Lithonia Bulldogs' basketball coach.

Browner tweeted on April 27:

Then on April 28:

I think I will be ok.... I'm well versed EDUCATED and dont Stutter.....

Browner has also received tweets of encouragement and disbelief over the firing.
