Global Athletic Complex Grand Opening Saturday

is hosting a grand opening of its Global Athletic Complex Saturday, April 2.

The building at 1813 Pounds Road will be a community resource for businesses, nonprofits and schools, according to the Stone Mountain nonprofit school. New Day Gables plans to hold regular fitness classes and camps and other weekly events.

The grand opening will have music, games fitness demonstrations, food, give-aways and more, starting at 7 a.m. 

The school will be holding its first annual Youth in Action Camp at the complex next week, from April 4- 8, for kids from 6 to 17 years old. The camp program was developed by Get in Shape Boot Camp, Conditioned Minds and New Day Gables and will be a combination of games, activities and academics.

It's a full-day camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with early drop off and late pick up possible. Participants can register at the grand opening, or click here to register early and get a $50 discount off the $149 regular cost. Early registration ends today, Friday, April 1.

Other classes and camps that will be held at the complex include Zumba classes, Know Your Body Seminars, and Get in Shape fitness classes for young and old, according to the academy.
