Five Things to Know Today, Sept. 29

Today's lunch at DeKalb schools, and more.

Today on Patch:

  • At 8 a.m., find out what “24 hours of booty” is;
  • at noon, learn what’s happening in and around Stone Mountain for your weekend fun in our “Get Out” guide;
  • and later today, get the details on what happened at Wednesday’s Atlanta Regional Roundtable transportation referendum meeting (boy, that’s a mouthful).

What’s for lunch: DeKalb County elementary school entree choices are chicken chili crispitos or breaded chicken sandwich; middle school, additional choice of a taco hot pocket; high school students can choose from all those options as well as surf and turf with corn bread.

The weather:  Sunnier than yesterday, but the temps are pretty much the same -- really warm: high of 84, low, 61. Weekend weather should be more fall-like.
