DeKalb Schools Basketball: Columbia Coach Gets Third Consecutive All-Star Victory

Stephenson's Jerusha James was three of four from the free-throw line in the second half.

Columbia girls’ head basketball coach Chantay Frost saw her team rally
from a four-point halftime deficit to give her a third consecutive
coaching victory in the DeKalb County All-Star Basketball Classic girls’
matchup 64-51 over the Breedlove All-Stars.

The Breedlove All-Stars coached by Renee Breedlove of Miller Grove opened
a 34-30 lead at the half behind eight points from Quiana Tucker of Tucker

Columbia teams have displayed in winning two state championships in the
past three seasons.

while the balanced scoring and timely free throw shooting of Frost’s squad
put 34 points on the board in the second half.

Columbia’s Ebony Johnson who had a game-high 11 points and Stephenson’s
Joylyn Stroud each had six points in the big second half for Frost’s
All-Stars.

’s Jerusha James and Martin Luther King’s Tenisha Wallace were

complete the rally.

Most Valuable Player for her floor leadership and defense.

Tucker finished with 10 points to lead the Breedlove All-Stars.

The boys’ All-Star Classic was a high scoring affair as both teams broke
the century in the 124-101 victory by White’s All-Stars over McKinney’s
All-Stars.

White’s All-Stars held a slim 52-50 lead at the half.

during the first half to help McKinney’s All-Stars stay within the
two-point margin at the half.

Martin Luther King forward De’Aires Tate hit for 14 of his 22 points in
the second half and Houston added nine more points on three treys as the
White All-Stars began to pull away.
