DeKalb Early College Academy Earns Award
The Stone Mountain academy is the only school in the county to receive this honor.
State Superintendent of Schools Dr. John D. Barge will present a Georgia
Schools of Excellence Award to the DeKalb Early College Academy (DECA) on
Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Administrative & Instructional
Complex Auditorium at 1701 Mountain Industrial Blvd., Stone Mountain.
Interim Superintendent Michael Thurmond, Principal Dr. Sharon Riley Ordu
and DECA faculty and staff will be present. DECA is the only school in
DeKalb County to receive this recognition.
