The Artisan Restaurant in Stone Mountain Village Up for Sale

Owner Cary Hamilton wants to devote more time to franchising the restaurant's concept. The building that the restaurant is housed in is also for sale.

Got $150,000? The Artisan restaurant and other parts of the business are up for sale.

"The package is the restaurant, the coffee shop, new bar and online coffee service," said owner Cary Hamilton. The price is $149,000. He put it for sale about a month ago, he said.

Hamilton told Patch he's selling the business because he wants to "devote more time franchising the concept."

The concept is close to that of Cracker Barrel, he said, with the restaurant and retail component.

The name "The Artisan" would carry over into other locations, he hopes, such as "The Artisan at Northlake." The new owner would have to allow Hamilton to use The Artisan name elsewhere.

The idea is simple to execute and duplicate, he said.

The building that the restaurant is housed in, 941 Main Street, is also for sale at $235,000. The building's owners are Bill and Gail Finnie, according to DeKalb County real estate data. Gail Finnie passed away November 2012.
