Stone Mountain City Council Meeting Notes

The council met Tuesday, June 5.

The Stone Mountain city council met Tuesday night, June 5, to vote on the following items

1. Approval of Alcohol Privilege License for Retail Consumption of Beer and Wine Artisan Restaurant - 941 Main Street – Carey Hamilton, Owner and Applicant.  Action: approved.

2. Proposal from National Center for State Courts – Review of Municipal Court Operations - Total Proposal Cost $10,000 – Cost for the City of Stone Mountain $7,000.  Action: deferred

3. Appointment of LCI Update Steering Committee.   Action: approved

4. Selection of Livable Center Initiative Consultant.   Action: approved

5. Change date of regular City Council Meeting from July 3rd to July 9th.  Action: approved

6. Resolution 2012-07- Disposal of Trash Compactor.   Action: approved

7. Resolution 2012-08- Amend the General Fund Budget.  Action: deferred

8. Ordinance 2012-02- Bicycles, Golf Carts, and Similar Vehicles.  Action: approved

In addition to the voting, City Manager, Barry Amos, announced that Radio Disney, the internet radio station that features music and videos for kids, will be onsite for the City of Stone Mountain’s back-to-school event on Saturday, July 28th.
