State Representative Dee Dawkins-Haigler (D-Lithonia) will host a Youth Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Rockdale Career Academy Auditorium.
This event will give young people in DeKalb County an opportunity to meet their elected officials, voice their opinions, and engage in the political process. DeKalb County youth in grades 5 through 12 are strongly encouraged to attend.
Rep. Dawkins-Haigler will be accompanied by Rep. Tonya Anderson (D-Lithonia), Rep. Pam Stephenson (D-Decatur), Rep. Howard Mosby (D-Atlanta), Rep. Rahn Mayo (D-Decatur), Mayor Deborah Jackson (Lithonia), Interim DeKalb County CEO Lee May, and DeKalb County Commissioners Sharon Sutton and Stan Watson.
Jack and Jill of America, an organization dedicated to creating mediums of contact for children that stimulate growth and development, is a partner in this event.
The Rockdale Career Academy Auditorium is located at 1064 Culpepper Drive in Conyers.
