Lithonia Representative Helping Struggling Homeowners

Congressman Hank Johnson's event will provide opportunities for homeowners to meet with loan modification counselors.

Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) is hosting a community event to help struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure.

The event will be held at Salem Bible Church in Lithonia at 5460 Hillandale Drive on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Our goal is to help more than 18,000 Georgians save the most significant investment they will ever make – their home,” said Rep. Johnson, who is based in Lithonia. “The event Saturday is a good place to continue our work helping homeowners who qualify. But more must be done.”

The event will also provide opportunities for homeowners to meet with counselors to see if they are eligible for a loan modification through the federal Making Home Affordable program. To pre-qualify and to register for the Oct. 5 event, participants can call CredAbility at 404-653-8833.
