Lee May to Stay in District 5 Seat

The incumbent blew past other candidates in Tuesday's primary.

DeKalb County Commissioner Lee May of District 5 received 13,305 votes, or 67.79 percent of the total 19,626, to breeze past the competition for his seat in Tuesday's primary.

With all precincts reporting, the incumbent was the clear victor for District 5, which includes parts of unincorporated Stone Mountain and Lithonia.

The results for the candidates were as follows:

Gina Mangham, 12.65 percent;

Ken Samuel, 13.25 percent;
