Greg Pallen Seeks 4th District Seat

Greg Pallen, a businessowner in the 4th Congressional District, is among those challenging incumbent Hank Johnson for his seat.

Republican Greg Pallen is part of what is fast becoming a crowded primary race for the 4th Congressional District incumbent Hank Johnson (whose district includes parts of Stone Mountain) Democratic challengers Courtney L. Dillard Sr. and Lincoln Nunnally, fellow Republican J. Chris Vaughn and potential Green Party challenger .

Pallen has been a local businessowner for more than 25 years and lives in Newton County, inside the 4th district, where he grows a lot of his own food and owns a solar-powered boat. One of his goals, if elected, is to promote the use of alternative energy sources and to put labels on genetically modified foods.

Pallen would also, if elected, work towards ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, aim to end corporate bailouts, promote a free and open Internet, try to repeal the PATRIOT Act and sponsor legislation that limits congressional pay. (He already has that particular bill drafted.)

He has a list of 20 commitments on his campaign website, including working for congressional term limits and FairTax.

"We are in trouble in this country. We must come together across party lines, racial lines and economic lines to take our country back and return it to prosperity," he said in a press release about his campaign.

The primary election, including this crowded race, will be held on July 31. Click here for more general information about the election, like how to find your polling place.
