First Council Meeting in New Stone Mountain City Hall Set for February

Government, police department and municipal court had hoped to move in before 2011 ended.

The Stone Mountain City Council is set to have its first meeting in the new City Hall on February 7, city manager Barry Amos said Tuesday.

Some delays in the project meant moving in couldn't happen before the end of 2011, as hoped.

The government, the police department and the municipal court will move from the historic train depot to the spacious new building at the corner of Second and Main streets.Β
